2015 Seattle Dyke March, Rally, & After Party says
Rally starts at 5:00 p.m. at Seattle Central College (Pine & Broadway)

March starts at 7:00 and goes through the Capitol Hill neighborhood.

At the end of the March, head into Cal Anderson park for a free all ages afterparty dance with the band Stereo Kisses!

Dyke Marches are a tradition that began based on the Lesbian Avengers 1992 inaugural Dyke March. Seattle began marching the next year. The primary purpose of Dyke Marches are to provide visibility for queer women in a Pride weekend dominated by male and corporate interests, and to amplify our voices as we work in broader communities to combat homophobia, biphobia, trans*phobia, racism, classism, sexism, ablism, and any other prejudices that interfere with basic human and civil rights.

We remain committed that for two hours every year, you will see dyke-identified people on stage sharing their work, stories, and music.

People of all genders and orientations are invited to watch the rally, march in solidarity, and enjoy the after party concert.

Thank you to everyone who makes this event happen, especially the speakers and performers who donate their time, and the committed group of organizers who find those performers and speakers, fundraise, and get the word out about our annual event.

Thank you to all of the people who give their support. The Capital Hill Chamber of Commerce is a consistent financial supporter of the Dyke March, and the year Gay City has also provided an extremely generous donation. Northwest Network provides financial support and also provides the Clothesline Project every year.

Maxim's in Hillman City hosted our Speed Dating and Burlesque Fundraiser. Lily Divine Productions provided the Burlesque performances.

We collaborated for the second year with Century Ballroom for an OutDancing Fundraiser.

We got raffle donations from Babeland, the Crypt, Hothouse Spa, Rhein Haus, The Seattle Storm, and Rat City Roller Girls, Century Ballroom, and NW Network.

SGN works with us to provide information about our event.

The Dyke March is truly a grassroots local event and we love all the support our community provides. We could not do this without your support.
