Show Description - A two man play that will leave you breathless. A Steady Rain explores the complexities of a lifelong bond tainted by domestic affairs, violence, and the rough streets of Chicago. Joey and Denny have been best friends since kindergarten, and after working together for several years as policemen in Chicago, they are practically family: Joey helps out with Denny's wife and kids; Denny keeps Joey away from the bottle. But when a domestic disturbance call takes a turn for the worse, their friendship is put on the line. The result is a harrowing journey into a moral gray area where trust and loyalty struggle for survival against a sobering backdrop of pimps, prostitutes, and criminal lowlifes.

Featuring - Directed by Jen Tidwell, Starring Greg LoProto as Denny & Brian Brooks as Joey, Original Music by Glenn Smith, Board Operator: Sarah Kleehammer

Producer bio - This was an independent production put on by the actors. Brian and Greg acted together previously in the 2014 production RECKLESS and had been wanting to collaborate again. Upon gaining the rights for STEADY RAIN they signed up Jen Tidwell to direct. She is the artistic director of Tacoma Actors Repertory Theatre. The 3 operated on a shoe string budget rehearsing both in Tacoma and in Ballard. It was Brian's idea to bring on an original composer for the underscoring music, provided by Glenn Smith. Glenn and Brian had previously worked on a 2015 rendition of HAMLET.
Greg LoProto's recent credits include 'Frankie and Johnny' and 'Lillies' with Local Jewell Productions.
Brian Brooks has been seen in 'Reckless' with Fantastic Z and 'Leaving Iowa' with Woodinville Rep.
Jen Tidwell's last director job was 'She Kills Monsters' in Tacoma
Glenn Smith is his own one man band simply known as: Freeze

Brian would like to give a special thanks to this amazing group of artists. Without their support and dedication he'd never been able to have this much fun. The production team has no formal name...yet. So brace yourselves. We will be back with another amazing play.
