Seattle-based composer and OtB Ambassador James Holt is presenting a live performance of meditative works for large and small ensembles. “Prelude” is a 30-minute wash of harmonic sound, performed live by more than 20 local musicians, spread throughout the On the Boards lounge space. An untitled work for a smaller ensemble of piano, percussion and pizzicato strings will begin immediately after, enveloping the audience in a floating, stable yet unresolved musical experience.
