Ask More is a space for Seattle Design Festival goers to physically partner with all bodies and genders in an open-invite, fun partner dance setting.

3-4pm
Drop-in intro to blues dance lesson (no partner required)

4-5pm
Social dance (blues & alternative blues music), DJ'd by Leah Vendl

Lesson will cover partner dance basics, breaking down assumptions about dance role based on gender, and invoke the practice of asking more questions—verbally and nonverbally—to share a dance full of enthusiastic consent.

BIO: Leah Vendl (Dance Teacher, Organizer & DJ)

Leah Vendl is an improviser, dance adventurer, and organizing member of Recess Productions who has taught and DJ'd blues and alt-blues events across the US, in the UK and France. Leah uses she/her/hers pronouns. She has been partner dancing for a decade and believes social dance can empower a diversity of voices and bodies. She teaches a role-fluid, consent-focused dance practice.
