Austen Translation says
With hits like Sense and Sensibility, Emma, and Pride and Prejudice, the works of Jane Austen continue to charm readers young and old.

The only problem? There hasn’t been a new Jane Austen book in two-hundred years. But that's about to change.

This December, Jet City Improv has once again partnered with Book-It Repertory Theatre to present the return of the hit feature-length improvised comedy AUSTEN TRANSLATION where audience suggestions are translated into an all-new romance set in Jane Austen’s world of landed gentry, grand ballrooms, English manor houses, love, valor, sense, and sensibility.

Every performance of AUSTEN TRANSLATION tells the story of a bright young heroine’s journey to navigate the designs of her family and the delicacy of her heart. While faithful readers of the grande dame of English romance novels are sure to delight in the country dances, carriage rides, and turns about the room in this unscripted romance, beloved characters like Mr. Darcy or Emma Woodhouse will be nowhere in sight. Instead, a cast of trained improvisational actors will create a completely original cast of characters in a tale full of stolen glances, tantalizing secrets, and a love story for the ages.

Performances are Thursday and Friday nights at 8pm from Dec 1 through Dec 23 with a special opening night gala on Dec 1 featuring a Q&A with the actors followed by complimentary cake and champagne. Advance tickets to all performances are $15 for general admission ($18 at the door), $12 for students, seniors, military personnel, and TPS members ($15 at the door), and $10 on Thursdays ($15-$18 at the door).

Per the strict adherence to manners in the Regency Era, this show is appropriate for all ages (despite its unscripted nature).
