More about the Trisha Brown Residency: Trisha Brown was born in 1936 in Aberdeen, Washington. Eight decades later, her company returns to Washington State, having chosen the UW World Series as its final stop on a three-year international farewell tour to Brown’s more traditional stage works. Brown is a seminal figure in American contemporary dance, and the UW World Series is proud to present the company’s final proscenium performances as well honoring Trisha Brown’s remarkable legacy with a series of lectures, classes, conversations, a photo exhibit and two site-specific performances. We invite you to celebrate the legacy and future of this influential company with these free and ticketed performances and learning opportunities this winter.
