Bang on a Can brings its signature event- the Bang on a Can Marathon- to Seattle, WA for the first time ever.
Some highlights of the day include the Bang on a Can All-Stars and redfishbluebish (UC San Diego) performing the Seattle premiere of Steve Reich's masterwork Music for 18 Musicians, Bang on a Can’s renowned live performance of Brian Eno's ambient classic Music for Airports, an exceptional indie-orchestral collaboration featuring Seattle multi-instrumentalist and composer Jherek Bischoff and Scrape Ensemble, Seattle premieres of signature works by Michael Gordon, David Lang, Julia Wolfe, and more!
The concert will be co-curated by Jherek Bischoff and co-presented by the Seattle Theatre Group and On the Boards.
