Bohemia says
September 10-27

From the duo who created last year's award-winning sell-out hit SEATTLE VICE, comes a cabaret about love, classical music, art nouveau, and absinthe. Mark Siano and Opal Peachey present BOHEMIA, a new musical set in 1890s Prague that combines the music of Dvořák and Chopin, with art nouveau by Alphonse Mucha. You're invited to a world where historic artists like Sarah Bernhardt and George Sand interweave with green fairies, aerial numbers, dance, burlesque, classical piano battles, comedy, and original songs.

Famous Czech composer Antonin Dvořák has hit a wall and prior to composing his magnum opus he looks to the bottom of a bottle of absinthe for inspiration. In this macabre and mystical dream cabaret Dvořák is visited by the ghost of late composer Frédéric Chopin. Chopin, the green fairies, and many other famous Bohemians guide Dvořák as they search for the true source of inspiration and grasp at artistic immortality.

Since it takes place at Seattle's new art+food venue Nordo's Culinarium, there will be drinks and dinner as well as an absinthe service and cocktail for those who wish to partake.

Bohemia features new compositions by Mark Siano, Opal Peachey, and Dayton Alleman with a three piece classical trio backed by a vocal chorus. The Head Chef for Bohemia is Mark Wissing with drinks designed by Maximillian Davis. Original aerial numbers choreographed by Tanya Brno.
