Long before Daniels Jack was moving dance floors in the Southeast, USA the South African native was honing his craft in the motherland.

Fast forward several years and Dan has solidified himself as a mainstay in the U.S. underground scene, having the pleasure to be direct support for major players in the industry including Benny Benassi, Shiba San, Porter Robinson, Kill Frenzy, Dillon Francis and Mark Farina, to name a few.

As a Build It Records artist, Dan has also been making waves on the production front, having received support from heavyweight artists such as Stacey Pullen, Stanny Abram and Ill Phill. His EP 'While Everyone Sleeps' charted at #63 in the Beatport top 100 house releases and his track 'Music Makes Me' charted at #5 on the Trackitdown Top 100.

There’s not a dance floor Dan isn’t ready to control. With an undeniable passion for music and determination to share it with the world, the rise of Daniels Jack has only just begun.
Launching his music career from the Bay Area, San Francisco based producer, The Schmidt has been seeing a lot of success. Still early in his career, he has already performed at festivals such as SXSW, SnowGlobe, Northern Nights, Santa Cruz Music Festival and many more. He’s also played prominent venues such as Lure (Hollywood), Ruby Skye (San Francisco), ACL Live (Austin) and other major US clubs.

With multiple hit singles on Build It Records, The Schmidt is getting a lot of support from crowds and gaining a keen following from the scene’s main heads. He is known for his bassline house as well as his electric DJ sets. His unique take on House music is full of energy, while drawing influence from Classic House, G House and UK Funk. 2017 is set to be The Schmidt's biggest year, with a host of remixes and originals in the pipeline in addition to a packed touring schedule.
