Dir. Richard Kelly (2001, R, 113 min.)

A troubled teen struggles with strange visions in this 15th anniversary screening of Donnie Darko (2001) as part of EMP's Campout Cinema.

Easter may be over, but the search for that bunny doesn't have to be! In this cult phenomenon, a dark and eccentric high-school student (Donnie) begins to have visions of a monstrous six-foot rabbit that only he can see. Besides urging Donnie to perform dangerous and destructive pranks, his mysterious visitor imparts an ominous vision of the future.

Tickets include admission to Can't Look Away: The Lure of Horror Film, where you can explore other terrifying visions through an in-depth look at the horror genre.

Before the film, enjoy a short acoustic performance of songs from the Donnie Darko soundtrack by Seattle musician, Tomo Nakayama.

Now at Campout Cinema, enjoy more food and drink options such as hot dogs, jumbo s'more cookies, caramel popcorn, and a hot cocoa bar (yes, you can get it spiked!).

For more options, POP Kitchen + Bar will be serving happy hour food and drink in the bar from 5:00pm-7:30pm.

Bring the outdoor movie experience indoors with EMP’s Campout Cinema series, featuring film screenings on EMP’s mammoth Sky Church screen alongside cinematically-inspired fun. At Campout Cinema, EMP invites you to get comfy and relax under LED stars on blankets, pillows, cushions, and sleeping bags from home (no chairs please). With themed drinks and photo ops before the screening and during intermission—as well as trivia, giveaways, and other surprises—every Campout Cinema event offers a unique and super themed movie-going experience.
