We will explore techniques of creating Foley effects ourselves to replace sounds inexisting film clips, learning to devise, make, record, edit, and place these sounds. We may also contrast our results with preĀrecorded sound effects, placing the sounds in sync using Pro Tools software. We will meet two evenings to discuss and assess our sound needs, collect and make sounds, place the sounds in a DAW, and share our results with each other.

If you have a audio field recording device or mic, a 1-minute video segment that would be fun to replace sound for, such as a fight scene or a battle, or props that could be useful, you may bring these to class. However, no hardware is required.
