RB Stone has traveled the world performing in 32 countries on five continents. 23 of those countries RB entertained mostly US service men and women as well as Japanese, Korean and Nato troops. He’s been awarded an honorary member of Fighter Squadron MALS 12, and many other military organizations. He keeps busy writing, recording and touring. He’s released 16 albums throughout his career from Country and Country Rock to Southern Rock and Americana. In 2010 he set his sights on the Roots Rock and Blues world. Stone focused his considerable songwriting skills on the passion, darkness, heartbreak, and tragedy that are the blues with the release of Lonesome Travelers Blues in 2011. The stories and life experiences started early for Stone. Just out of high school, music was still a distant dream so he hired on with the Railroad. There he traveled the Midwest with a 90-man rail gang while living in a 10-man camp car. His life and career have taken many twists and turns–since those early beginnings–including being a cowboy and jet pilot. Blues music has always been a part of his life from jamming on his mother’s piano, to writing and recording his first blues song, “Fairweather Friends” in 1985–featured on Lonesome Travelers Blues. Stone’s latest release, Loosen Up, was produced by multi-Grammy winning Producer Tom Hambridge (Buddy Guy, James Cotton, George Thorogood, etc.) and nominated for Blues Blast Magazine’s Rock Blues Album of the Year in 2014. The project features ten tracks of original tunes with five tracks written by Stone, four co-written with Tom Hambridge, and one with long-time friend and multi-Grammy winning Producer, Ray Kennedy. Loosen Up remained 8 months in the Root Music Report chart and crossed over to The Americana Alternate Route chart establishing solid global airplay with praises and reviews from most of the major music magazines, including No Depression, Blues Music Magazine, Blues Blast, Elmore and Blues Bytes.
