FIUTS: Foundation for International Understanding Through Students says
Come celebrate Earth Day with FIUTS, EarthCorps, Nature Consortum, the Green Seattle Partnership, and the Duwamish Alive Coalition as we restore important forest habitat in the West Duwamish Greenbelt area!

*COME SIGN UP IN THE FIUTS OFFICE (HUB 206) or contact Pauline@fiuts.org if you can't make it into the office to sign up. Spots are limited, so sign-up today!*

When: Saturday, April 22nd

Meet up location/time: George Washington Statue at 8:15AM

Cost: Free, space is limited - must sign up in the FIUTS Office

Who Can Go: Open to ALL - EVERYONE!

What to Expect: Volunteers will be working all around the park weeding and mulching to help this forest stay healthy. You will receive an orientation about safety, get an introduction to the West Duwamish Greenbelt, forest health, and forest restoration.

No prior experience necessary! Just come ready to get dirty and to have fun! Additionally, there will be live music in the woods while you work to keep you motivated!

What to Bring:
-Clothing that can dirty & wet (we will volunteer rain or sunshine)
- Sturdy closed-toed shoes
- Layers of clothing including raingear (e.g.-raincoat)
-Lunch, water bottle, and/or travel coffee mug

You will be provided with: gloves, tools, water to fill your water bottles and coffee, and environmental education

ALL ARE WELCOME TO STAY FOR THE ART, FOOD, & MUSIC from 2:00-4:00PM after the service volunteer event!
