Show Description - Eleemosynary follows the relationships between three generations of women. The play probes into the delicate relationship of three singular women: the grandmother, Dorothea, who has sought to assert her independence through strong-willed eccentricity; her brilliant daughter, Artie (Artemis), who has fled the stifling domination of her mother; and Artie's daughter, Echo, a child of exceptional intellect—and sensitivity—whom Artie has abandoned to an upbringing by Dorothea. Family, independence, and language are all explored within the lives of these three characters. You will enjoy a fascinating look into how family members relate to each other, whether functionally or dysfunctionally.

Featuring - Genie Leslie—actor & producer; Paula Wilson Nitka—actor & producer; Michelle Conklin—director & producer; Rochelle Wyatt—actor

Producer bio - Kairos is a Greek word for a moment of indeterminate time in which an event of significance happens—in other words, a meaningful moment out of time. As theatre artists, we aim to create and study these “out of time” moments in our lives. Kairos Theatre Company focuses on works that celebrate the various and multifaceted aspects of feminine journey.
