Exhibition Opening: Untold Passage says
An opening reception for Untold Passage, an exhibition featuring the work of Zhi Lin, Mary Ann Peters, Rodrigo Valenzuela, the collaborative duo x y x, as well as poets Becky Nguyen, Stacey Tran, Ocean Vuong, and Javier Zamora from Copper Canyon Press and Gramma Poetry Press.

Untold Passage presents the work of artists recovering the unwritten histories of immigrant communities, presented alongside the work of contemporary poets representing the unquantifiable aspects of those experiences. It takes up the politics of narrative that structure the representations of our world in words, the interface between visual arts and poetry, and recuperation of lost narratives.

The exhibition’s title holds a doubled meaning: untold referring to both that which is incalculable and unarticulated, and passage pointing to not only to the movement of bodies, but also a fragment of text. The exhibition’s accompanying catalog will be made possible with the support of Gramma Poetry Press.

The opening will feature a reading by Stacey Tran and Becky Nguyen at 7 pm. Refreshmnets will be served.

In partnership with Deep Space, there will be an online exhibition in conjunction with Untold Passage that offers individuals the opportunity to tell their story of immigration. The online exhibition will be available on July 7th at https://www.deepspace.place/
