The Seattle Public Library says
This spring, Seattle Immersive Theatre re-imagined the classic tale of star-crossed lovers for a modern audience, marrying the Bard’s text with a new, edgier interpretation, directed by Emily Penick, that invited guests to take part in the Capulet's masquerade ball as both revelers and witnesses to the tragedy that swiftly unfolds after Romeo and our Juliet meet each other's eyes for the very first time. This spotlight performance will be a 30min selection from this critically acclaimed production. The performance will be followed by a community talkback.

This event is just one in a series of events The Seattle Public Library is hosting or co-sponsoring in celebration of First Folio! The Book That Gave Us Shakespeare, a nationally touring exhibit which will be hosted at the Central Library from March 21 to April 17, 2016. Considered one of the most important books in the world, a rare copy of Shakespeare's First Folio will be on display at the Central Library for four weeks, along with immersive and interactive displays, live performances, scholar lectures and more.
