Ada's Technical Books says
Join us for an inter-disciplinary and trans-cultural musico-logical evening! There will be talk of physics, music, delicious foods, and delectable cupcakes for all.

Esteemed physicist, organist, and UW professor Vladimir Chaloupka will take us on a journey exploring the intimate connections between science, music, and society, with a demonstration included. There will be ample time for Q&A and guests will have an opportunity to preview and offer feedback for his upcoming book about physics and music.

After Chaloupka's talk, stick around for live music with cellists Terry Cook and Chris Worswick. Expect baroque, tango, and a few musical surprises.

Hors d'oeuvres prepared by Ada's Cafe will be served from 6:30-7, preceding the presentation, and cupcakes will be served during the musical performance.

The event is presented by the Live Music Project, a community calendar for classical and contemporary music in Seattle, in celebration of its first birthday this week. The LMP is a hub for more than 100 orchestras and ensembles in the region, giving them a centralized presence, helping them get the word out about their concerts, and making it easier for listeners to discover a wide variety of upcoming performances.
