April 21 General Meeting:
What happened (and didn't) in Olympia: The Good, the Bad, the Disappointing, and the #StupidMillionDollarFenceIdea.

We're looking forward to welcoming King County legislators and advocacy partners to help us debrief the recent legislative session. RSVPS so far from State Senators Sharon Nelson and David Frockt, State Representatives Jessyn Farrell, Joan McBride, Bady Walkinshaw, and staff for State Senator Pramila Jayapal. Also scheduled: Staff from Columbia Legal Services, Mockingbird Society, and WA Low Income Housing Alliance.

PLUS: Metro and King County DOT staff want to hear about late night bus ridership, Transit Riders Union, and more!

General Info:
Monthly Coalition Membership meetings take place on the 3rd Thursday of each month. Staff, residents, clients, and guests from our member and partner organizations gather for 2 hours of education, action, and organizing! Concerned community members and people with personal experience of homelessness are welcome.

Our meetings are set up for our members and guests to:

1. Learn about & discuss key homelessness, affordable housing, and related issues with well-informed presenters, and to ask hard questions in a respectful environment;
2. Share timely information about program & policy changes and advocacy opportunities;
3. Develop and practice skills that help human service & housing providers & advocates do their work better and collaborate;
4. Take effective action together to advance safety, housing, and justice for people who are homeless.

Details: We meet at the E. Cherry St. YWCA (2820 E. Cherry St. in Seattle) from 9-11 a.m.
