Golden Repair Supper #5; A Discussion On Transportation says
Golden Repair Supper Number 5; Thinking Differently About Transportation.

***Note: We just changed the timing for this event, doors will open at 3:30, McGinn will begin his fireside chat at 4pm, and we will eat an early Sunday Supper together at 4:30, and those that want to stay for the Presidential Debate are welcome to, we will be broadcasting it at the Cloud Room

Join us at The Cloud Room for a very special Solutions Dinner with former Seattle Mayor Mike McGinn to discuss the role of streets, roads, and transit in an urban environment. Decades of top down planning have delivered a toxic stew of congestion, pollution, fatal collisions, and unpleasant places. Doubling down on bad strategies are not the solution, in fact we cannot even keep up with the staggering costs of maintaining and expanding the transportation system we have. Instead, Mayor McGinn challenges us to closely examine our assumptions about what we expect of our transportation system, with an eye towards quality of life and financial productivity. This presentation and engaging dinner conversation won’t solve all our transportation problems in just one evening, but at least we can start looking at the problem with a different perspective that can lead to change.

Doors open: 6:00 – 6:30p
Presentation: 6:30 – 7:00p
