STG and Astro King Phoenix present Golden Silence: The Score Feels at The Neptune on July 21, 2016 as a part of the Nights at the Neptune series. GA seating. 18+.

Kindly RSVP here:

Nights at the Neptune is an expression of local awakening— artists and audiences coming together to celebrate culture and community in a series of free performances.

Hailing from Seattle, WA, Astro King Phoenix is a young, multifaceted creative who pushes light through mediums such as music and film. With experience in music, photography, screenwriting, directing, film, and visual art, Astro is a passionate visionary and artist. For Nights at the Neptune, Astro created a silent film celebrating life as experienced by young creatives and artists of color in Seattle.

Fueled by a blooming passion for self-awareness and expansion of the mind, the film explores the relationship between time and its passengers in a visual mixture of textured dreamscapes and stark realities. Telling stories untold with words unsaid, Rhodes uses the imaginative visuals and lights of the film to coat these silent stories in a gold, making a “golden silence.” Dancing between different wave lengths and vibrating between life’s lights, Astro’s film digs beyond the senses and tells the stories untold but celebrated daily.

The film is accompanied by a live score from some of Seattle’s best up-and-coming hip-hop artists. Golden Silence will feature the sounds of Astro King Phoenix, DoNormaal, Sendai Mike, Dex Amora, J-Nasty, Hansmjustin, & Special Guests.
