Amazing Grace Spiritual Center says
Do you love to sing and want to join your voice in glorious harmony with others? Come and be part of the Grace Notes Community Song Circle and sing easy-to-learn heart-opening songs of joy, praise, and healing from different cultures and traditions.

Everyone is welcome! No singing experience or music reading is necessary, just the willingness to learn, laugh and sing with your whole being. Bring family, friends, and neighbors (teens 14 & over welcome).

Monthly song circles are held on fourth Tuesdays, 7-9 pm. Suggested donation $15 / pay what you can. Proceeds go to services for our Ballard neighbors in need. For more information PM us (Amazing Grace).

Music sources include. African American spirituals, South African freedom songs, Spanish Taize, folk, ethnic, sacred and affirmational chants, rounds and three- and four-part songs. Open your voice and creative spirit with fun warm-ups and playful vocal games as well as Circle Singing, a form of improvised choral music created by Bobby McFerrin that is energizing, tribal, and meditative. We'll make a joyous noise together and raise our spirits through sacred song. You'll feel deeply connected, harmonized on the inside, light, alive and inspired!

Grace Notes is facilitated by Mia Shelton. She has been a member of and voice coach for Spirit of the Sound Choir, and has sung at Amazing Grace. Mia led vocal improvisation workshops for many years and loves building community through song.
