What are the connections between Hip-Hop and innovation?
View a vibrant showcase of Aki Kurose Middle School students’ work, using percussion, writing, and dance to explore the concept of innovation through the lens of Hip-Hop culture. This event is a celebration of how Hip-Hop artists use innovative habits of mind in the creation of their art, and is a culmination of in-class work with "The Legacy of Seattle Hip-Hop" exhibit co-curators and teaching-artists Aaron Walker-Loud (Big World Breaks / 50 Next: Seattle Hip-Hop Worldwide) and Jazmyn Scott (The Town Entertainment / 50 Next: Seattle Hip-Hop Worldwide), as well as dance choreographer Maxie Jamal.
