Camp Leo for Children with Diabetes says
Hi Families! Joe Soloweijczyk is coming to Seattle! Joe Solowiejczyk is a healthcare professional who has lived with Type 1 diabetes for 52 years. He is President and founder of A Mile in My Shoes, a company that publishes books & produces videos on patient self-management and psychological coping as well as providing counseling and training to patients, families and health care professionals.

IF YOU HAVEN'T SEEN HIM SPEAK YOU ARE MISSING OUT! Joe is hilarious and fun, and has some great insights about coping with T1D.

The event is set for Tuesday, July 14th at Rock Bottom Restaurant in Seattle 1333 Fifth Ave. Seattle 98101. We are hoping to see you all there for what will undoubtedly be a VERY entertaining evening!

6 p.m. - Doors to our Rock Bottom private dining room open for socializing and dining before the talks.

7 p.m. - 8 p.m. Joe’s first talk is for PARENTS & CHILDREN WITH T1D. Joe will be speaking on how to successfully integrate coping & diabetes management into family life & discuss his interactive book, A T1 Guide to the Universe.

8:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. is for T1 ADULTS only, will take place in an upstairs area and will focus on adults’ T1D self-management & psychological coping with humor, candor and a bit of irreverence. Happy hour atmosphere. NOTE: Parents, if you are coming without your kiddos, I'm sure it will be fine to come to this as well. It is being restricted to adults because Joe sometimes uses some "adult only" language when doing adult only talks.
