Author Jonathan Safran Foer has won numerous awards for his work, including the Guardian First Book Prize, the National Jewish Book Award, and the New York Public Library Young Lions Prize. Two of his previous novels, Everything Is Illuminated and Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close, have also been adapted for the screen.
In Here I Am, his first novel in 11 years, award-winning author Foer grapples with the question of how people balance conflicting roles, such as husband, father and son. With this story of a fracturing family in crisis, Foer explores the fundamental question of how much aliveness one can bear. He will discuss his creative process and the inspiration behind this book.
