The event creator says
The Josh Rawlings Trio is excited to return to Seattle's Local Jazz Hang (Tula's) and play their first public concert as a Trio in over a year! Josh has been blazing trails working like the madman he is juggling fatherhood, working in the studio with the likes of Macklemore & Ryan Lewis as well as the myriad of other hats he's wearing day-to-day and gigs he's doing week-to-week.

This night will mark a special opportunity to hear the rich history Nate Omdal, Adam Kessler & Josh share from playing together now for nearly 15 years since they started making music together in 2001 at Cornish College of the Arts. Josh has a bunch of new original material he's trying out for the next Trio album as well as fun and fresh arrangements of tunes from the Transformers Theme Song to Weezer covers. And if that wasn't enough, Josh is thrilled to be joined on stage for part of the night by the lovely string players Maria Scherer Wilson (Cello), Begin Scarseth (Violin) and Bri Attwell (Viola) for parts of the night. This will be the first time the Trio has ever been joined by string players and will no doubt be an incredible listening experience hearing the group sound in this manner.

It's going to be a great time and they'd love to see your happy smiling face and tapping toes for a special night of live music in downtown Seattle. Please spread the word and we'll see you Wednesday, August 12th at Tula's!
