Join us in the movement to unify people of faith and justice in a prophetic stance for Palestine Israel.
The Mideast Focus Ministry at Saint Mark's Episcopal Cathedral in Seattle has joined forces with Kairos USA to offer a dynamic one-day workshop hosted by Jewish-American author Mark Braverman and Diane Dulin, ordained minister in the United Church of Christ.
WORKSHOP PURPOSE
o Explore the appeal of the Palestinian Christian community as expressed in the Kairos Palestine document.
o The day will include lectures, discussion and materials to frame the religious and political issues and provide resources and guidance for direct involvement and action

9:00 - 12:00 pm Analysis of current realities in Palestine Israel and theological response to analysis:
The American Church has a powerful witness to make on behalf of justice. Our local efforts are seen and heard widely when joined with people of conscience around the world. What shall we say? What shall we choose to do?
12:30 pm Traditional Palestinian lunch
1:30 pm Plenary: Interfaith Relationships
2:30 - 4:00 pm Action Options Small group opportunities to provide the tools to enable participants to navigate interfaith relationships, understand the problems with Christian Zionism, and consider various options for specific active response. Options include responsible travel, study, denominational activism, and political advocacy.
4:00 - 5:00 pm Next steps & concluding liturgy. "Bitter Coffee and Sweet Tea": Expression of commitment & solidarity uniting us in community with Christians, Muslims and Jews in Palestine Israel, the United States and around the world through the growing Kairos movement.
