Time Out says

"The Seattle Bike Show brings together top industry manufacturers, retailers, tour providers, advocates, and media for two days of trying out the latest gear, shopping, finding ways to get more involved, and getting ready for the 2015 cycling season." - Cascadia Events http://seattlebikeshow.com/ Let's go check it out! This was previously the Seattle Bike Expo, put on by Cascade Bicycle Club with tons of fun stuff for kids so we're counting on it still being a family-friendly event. http://familyride.us/2014/02/09/upcoming-kid-stuff-at-bike-expo/ Admission is $10 for adults, kids 17 and under are FREE. Buy tickets online or at the door (most of us will probably buy our tickets at the door). http://www.brownpapertickets.com/event/1082627 Bike Works will offer their usual bike valet services, suggested donation $5. http://bikeworks.org/ Meet at Milstead & Co. in Fremont, starting at 9:30 a.m. We can gather in the outside seating area in front of History House for a quick snack and introductions before setting off promptly at 10:00 a.m. http://www.milsteadandco.com/ Our ride to the CenturyLink Field Event Center (800 Occidental Ave S, Seattle, WA) is about 8 miles one way so this will be one of our longer Kidical Mass rides. The event is 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. (and 10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. on Saturday) so we'll see what time we arrive–somewhere between 11 and 11:30, probably, depending on our bike makeup–and decide upon groups for heading back north at various intervals. Feel free to ask route advice for arriving to the Bike Show separately from other areas or leaving in a different direction. Note: this is the same date as the Hot Chocolate 15K/5K, which we were fine sharing space with last year, but we'll be avoiding their course this year. Those of you meeting us at the show might want to be aware, though. http://www.hotchocolate15k.com/seattle/ * Photos courtesy Bike Snob, Seattle Bike Expo 2011 with Madi and kids accidentally having wandered into the left shot. http://bikesnobnyc.blogspot.com/2011/03/bsnyc-field-trip-smugness-in-seattle.html
