Kinchaku Sewing Workshop says
Join local fashion designer Malia Peoples (who was also a teaching artist for our YouthCAN program) as she helps you make your very own Kinchaku (Japanese drawstring pouch) - a perfect gift for the holidays or for yourself! A Kinchaku is used for multiple purposes - to hold money, cosmetics, bento (lunch box), just to name a few.

To reduce waste and be mindful of what we use, these Kinchakus will be made out of recycled materials. Sewing skills are helpful but not necessary! Great for kids age 8+ or accompanied by an adult.

Cost:
Free if you bring your own fabric
$5 for materials

Please note - this workshop does NOT include access to Museum galleries.
