Laasya is the nation's premiere travelling competition for Indian classical dance, founded in 2010 by Boston University and MIT. Each year the competition is hosted by the previous year's winners. This March, Natya at the University of Washington is proud to host Laasya 2015 on its fifth anniversary of this growing establishment. Nine collegiate teams will convene at the University of Washington to compete for both the 2015 championship title as well as the privilege of hosting the prestigious competition the following year. Displays of the highest quality Indian classical dance will be brought forth to a diverse audience drawn from both the UW and Greater Seattle communities. ————— COMPETING TEAMS —————— GT Pulse Natya at Berkeley Pitt Nrityamala Penn State Natya Stanford Noopur Tufts Pulse.
