The event creator says
Lit Fix, the reading and music series that marries lowbrow bars with highbrow art, is turning two!

Come on down to Belltown for this special anniversary event. $5 at the door. All proceeds donated to Literacy Council of Seattle. Also: birthday treats! We'll have them. You'll eat them. The sugar high will carry us all.

Behold the PNW powerhouses in our lineup:

ELISABETH EAVES is the author of Wanderlust, a travel memoir; and Bare, set in Seattle’s dearly departed Lusty Lady peep show. She has written for Forbes, Harper’s, Marie Claire, The New York Times, Slate, The Wall Street Journal, and many other publications. Born and raised in Vancouver, Canada, Elisabeth has lived in London, Paris, Cairo, and New York City. She now lives in Seattle.

NATASHA KOCHICHERIL MONI is a naturopathic medical student and a writer. Her first book, The Cardiologist's Daughter, was released by Two Sylvias Press in late 2014. Natasha's poetry, fiction, essays, and reviews have been published in 50 journals, magazines, and anthologies, including Verse, DIAGRAM, Indiana Review, and Rattle.

JAY PONTERI directs the undergraduate creative writing program at Marylhurst University and show:tell, a workshop for teen writers and artists. His work appears or is forthcoming in Ghost Proposal, Essay Daily, Silk Road Review, and Forklift, Ohio. Jay’s chapbook, Darkmouth Strikes Again, was published recently by Future Tense Books.

Seattle native EMILY KENDAL FREY is the author of several chapbooks and chapbook collaborations, including Frances, Airport, Baguette, and The New Planet. The Grief Performance, her first full-length collection, won the Norma Farber First Book Award from the Poetry Society of America in 2012. Her second collection, Sorrow Arrow, is available now.

THE REJECTIONS (AND TRAILING SPOUSES), the musical offshoot of Seattle7Writers, formed in late 2012. The Rejections are: Garth Stein, Stephanie Kallos, and Jennie Shortridge. The Trailing Spouses are: Matt Gani, Paul Mariz, and sometimes Ben Bauermeister. But who knows? The lineup might change at any time. They hope to include Erik Larson on tambourine someday.

Bring friends, lovers, bons mots, and your appetite—the Rendezvous has food and drinks.
