Maker Days: Hand Sewing & Upcycling says
Come to a monthly Maker Day at MOHAI to tinker, experiment and create alongside some of Seattle's most innovative makers.

July 25: Hand Sewing & Upcycling with our very own Meris Mullaley (aka The Fabric Alchemist)!

What do you do with that middle school t-shirt that no longer fits? What about the jeans that ripped beyond repair? The socks that have lost their pairs?
Don't throw them away just yet - there are so many ways we can reuse or upcycle those fabrics.

Learn some basic hand sewing techniques to customize clothes, wallets, bags, or anything else you can imagine. We'll also brainstorm ways you can transform an old curtain or repurpose that childhood t-shirt collection with nothing more than needle and thread.

Included with museum admission; kids 14 and under free.
