March 10th, Say Wha?! (No Open Mic) With A Feature Set By Rebecca Waits!

Instead of the 7pm mic this week we have a special show from Sara Bynoe with readers: Emmett Montgomery, Jana Hutchison, and Rachel Walls! Plus after there will be a feature stand up comedy set by Portland's Rebecca Waits! Say Wha?! Readings of Deliciously Rotten Writing Have you ever read a poorly written novel and thought to yourself, who publishes this crap? Or come across a hilariously out of date self-help book in a thrift store? Perhaps you flipped through Sarah Palin’s/ Justin Beiber’s/ R. Kelly’s etc. autobiography and guffawed at her/his life story. Well, that’s what Say Wha?! is all about. At Say Wha?! engaging and charismatic performers put their comedic spin on some of the most cringe-worthy, embarrassing and painfully earnest writing in print. The event producer, and host, Sara Bynoe was inspired to create this night after she found a bad romance novel in a hostel in Bath, England which provided hours of entertainment for her friends. Since the show first launched in June 2010 Say Wha?! has been in the Vancouver Comedy Festival, the Vancouver International Poetry Festival and the Olio Festival.
