Registration is Encouraged!

Join us at the march with your positive, pro-science signs, and any Seattle Audubon gear you choose to wear. March with us for as long as you choose.

The March for Science is on Earth Day, which is the perfect opportunity to highlight the ways that science can help us protect our planet and our birds. Please join us as we celebrate the discoveries that give us cleaner water, cleaner air, and healthier ecosystems for birds and nature.

We're hosting a Sign-Making Party on Thursday, April 20, 2017 to prep for the march! Let us know if you're going on the Sign-Making Party event page.

Why is Seattle Audubon joining the March for Science?

Seattle Audubon relies on quality, peer-reviewed science to make informed decisions for birds, nature, and our community. Scientific inquiry is essential to our mission, and important to many of our members, volunteers, and community-members.

Our work to protect endangered species and restore natural spaces in and around Seattle depends on up-to-date, accurate, scientific information.
Science is the foundation of our environmental education programs, including Nature Camp, classes, and our Master Birder course.
We engage hundreds of volunteers in our own citizen science projects every year.
