The Young Americans' Theatre Company - YATC says
The Young Americans' Theater Company's ninth show presents the companion one acts Emotional Creature by Eve Ensler and What We Talk About When We Talk About Planned Parenthood by Alexandra Derman in Misspoken Narratives, an evening of feminism.
In Planned Parenthood, directed by Meg Ruppel, Kitty and B dip in and out of addiction and struggle to pay rent, but at least they have a system: she's entertaining and exciting, he's responsible and realistic. But in the aftermath of a necessary but difficult decision, their codependent routine is called into question. Can they find a way to love each other, or is their relationship all but over?

In Emotional Creature, issues for women worldwide are examined through monologues, movement, and ensemble work. This show explores the gifts and hardships of being a girl in today's society and the power that is ignited by close female relationships and symbiotic empowerment. Directed by Ray McCann and Ricky Spaulding, this show will make you look at the international experience of womanhood differently.
