Mystic Yoga Flow says
Seattle has such an incredible dance community, that we couldn't help but want to contribute! With this class (and more to come) we hope to bring the feelings of love and connectedness we feel on the dance floor onto the mats, and into our lives. Datza and Recess will work to pair the physical poses- asanas, with the music and it's sonic frequencies to build a burning flow into the unknown. The theme for our first class is Kali. The Hindu Goddess Kali is a manifestation of the Divine Mother. Frequently, Kali is misconstrued as the goddess of destruction. But she destroys only to recreate, and what she destroys is only darkness, ignorance and decay. This Kali flow will allow us to do just that, we will face our own shadows, and digest by burning out what no longer serves us in order to make room for new adventures.

We hope the sun will shine and practice will be on the spectacular Monkey Loft roof, but if the weather is not cooperative we will move to the dance floor. $15 or $10 if you have a stamp from Saturday night! Pre-sale info coming soon. Bring your yoga mat, water and good vibes!

Datza was introduced to yoga more than 10 years ago when she moved to Seattle from Riga, Latvia. With her background in dance and fitness, she developed a natural love for the asana practice and it grew into desire to teach. Datza is 200RYT graduate from Samadhi Yoga. In her classes, Datza strives to blend her love of music and movement with playful, yet challenging and creative sequencing. She encourages students to find inner connections of body, mind and soul and to take it what they learn on the yoga mat and apply it into all areas of life. “If you want something in your life that you've never had, you’ll have to do something you’ve never done.” JD Houston.

Recess Shameless has been getting down with Shameless Productions crew for over 12 years now and has an illustrious tenure in the NW's underground music scene. His DJ sets often reflect Shameless' aesthetic by focusing on forward thinking music while cherishing the gems of the past. He'll span the various ranges of house/disco and may weave through techno, bass and funky, depending upon the party. For a yoga set he'll dig deep into his chill/eclectic crates as he did at the Yo Yo Yoga series (ETG) to help create a unique experience for all.
