Rising Tide Seattle says
The Unist'ot'en Camp is an ongoing non-violent occupation of Unceded Unist´ot´en territory that started in 2009. As it stands, the camp is preventing the construction of a massive pipeline corridor that would allow further expansion of the tar sands and fracking industry in Northern B.C.

Freda Huson, camp spokesperson, and Dini Ze Toghestiy will be speaking about their experiences with the camp, fighting for indigenous sovereignty and resisting fossil fuel expansion, as they tour the "USA" side of the Pacific Northwest, raising funds for the next phase of their 100% grassroots funded and built Healing Lodge and promoting their spring building camp, beginning in May.

You won't want to miss out on this rare chance to hear these amazing activists speak and to meet them in person! It will be a time to speak directly with them about the Camp, volunteer opportunities and the many other projects that are ongoing throughout the year.

Childcare will be provided at the event, families are encouraged to come with their little ones.
