They mostly live in the south side of Seattle. An area famous for it’s industrialization and pollution, the boys have taken full advantage of the available infrastructure. And in so doing, have crafted and boiled down many nights of free form freakout into a concise 45 minutes of pure guava, or as it appears in the vinyl form, pure bolivian emeralds. But this isn’t just music/magic for you Zappa heads, there are some real gems in there. It was somewhere said, that after a horrible, sold out SXSW appearance gone totally wrong, the band regrouped, and decided that they should write songs like this. The music of Low Hums, somewhere out there in the oceans of psychedelic // rock and roll // pop // twang / drone // banana fuzz // purple haze Started in 2009, Low Hums have to date released two full length LP’s. The second LP appropriately titled ‘Charm’. Is out on the now R.I.P FIN Records, August 15th 2014. (( remember the bolivian emeralds right?? )). Low Hums have toured several times around the West, Southwest, Midwest ( and maybe more ) and have been blessed to share a stage on occasion with the likes of Earth, Mt. Eerie, Kinski, Six Organs of Admittance, The Entrance Band, Rose Windows, White Manna, Chelsea Wolfe, Master Musicians of Bukkake, Wolves in the Throne Room, Un natural Helpers, Howlin' Rain, Lightning Dust, Jesse Sykes, J Tilman, Midday Veil, Diminished Men, and lots more .. Played everywhere from campfires, festivals, clubs, pubs, garages, parking lots, churches, parties, bbq’s, big weird buildings, beaches, high deserts, burrito shops, and yes, even down town LA.
