Opening Reception: The Fallen

Time Out says
Seattle based artists Chris Sheridan and Amanda Paredes open their collaborative show featuring fashion design by Jenn Charkow of Stone Crow Designs and a performance by Seattle Shibari at Axis Pioneer Square (www.axispioneersquare.com). The opening reception is during the Pioneer Square Art Walk on Thursday March 5th, from 5 – 9pm. A portion of the exhibit will remain on view through Friday, March 27th.
The Fallen delves into the shadows of the minds of Sheridan and Paredes to explore Hell and the travels of the soul. The exhibit is loosely inspired by Dante’s Inferno, the epic story of the soul’s journey through the levels of Hell, and the haunting a cappella composition Miserere, Opus 44 written by Henryk Górecki. The Fallen is an intense and deeply psychological exhibition that includes oil paintings by Sheridan and photography by Paredes.
