The Center for Whale Research, Earthjustice, Natural Resources Defense Council, and Save Our Wild Salmon have partnered for this evening of fine food and drink, and tales and talk about two of the Northwest’s most iconic creatures: Southern Resident Killer Whales and wild salmon. Our featured speakers include: David Neiwert (Of Orcas and Men: What Killer Whales can teach us), Brenda Peterson who has written about orcas and other marine mammals for two decades, and Roger Fernandes, a storytelling member of the Lower Elwha Band of the S’Klallam Indians from Port Angeles.
A reception will be held from 6:00 to 7:00 pm, with excellent food provided by Kevin Davis/Blueacre Seafood. Wine and beer and non-alcoholic beverages will be served.
Books will be available for purchase and signing by the authors.
This is an event for people of all ages.
