Origami Light Sculptures says
MAY 9th 3:00pm - 5:00pm
with Iole Alessandrini

From Kusuri: Medicine and Tama: Ball, Kusadama Origami were unique containers used to store incense and herbs. Using this ancient folding technique, we build colorful, modular shapes of 6-8-16-30-sided globe-like volumes that assemble to form spheres. Using paper, colors, and a variety of mediums, we develop a palette of forms, textures and geometries to create original sculptures. A 15 minutes introduction to recent developments on origami design, applied to aerospace and robotics will precede the workshop. Anyone is welcome!
