CITY MEDITATION CREW
Terminal 107 Park, 4750 W. Marginal Way SW
Saturday, August 8, 10 am - 4 pm

The City Meditation Crew (CMC) is a group of “city workers” who call attention to sites and actions simply by paying attention. The CMC has spent the summer on the Duwamish riverbanks, exploring and observing the river in a series of meditative actions. On August 8, the workers will guide and paddle boats silently on the Duwamish River itself. CMC invites audiences to witness, or experience first hand the paddling meditation from a contemplative point of view.

The public is invited to bring their own boats, or wait at the Terminal 107 Park hand carry boat launch (near the “Rotary Club of West Seattle” bench) for pick ups on the hour and half hour. In a parallel action along the bank, explore hands-on contemplative art making with materials from the Duwamish. Kids and adults welcome! No experience with paddling or meditation is needed to participate. To sign up in advance or ask questions, email info@citymeditationcrew.org, OR just show up! Rain date: Sunday August 9.
