Pub Sci At Hilliard's Beer Magnetospheres says
Think while you drink every first Wednesday of the month at Hilliard's Beer. Pacific Science Center presents PubSci. It's science in a bar! Free and open to the public. No scientific background required – just bring your curiosity, sense of humor and appetite for food, drinks and knowledge!

Make sure to get there early to avoid bar lines. Trivia begins at 6 p.m.!

For every beer purchase during the event, Hilliard’s Beer will donate $1 of each sale to Pacific Science Center’s exhibits and educational programs.

Our next event is Wednesday, March 2, at 6 p.m. with Matt Tilley, Ph.D. student at the University of Washington, Dept. of Earth and Space Sciences and Astrobiology Program

Event topic?
“The Magnetospheres Of Solar System Planets And Beyond”
The Earth has a strong magnetic field that shields us from deadly solar radiation. What about other planets? Join Matt Tilley, as he discusses how planetary magnetic fields can be used to explore things light years away and how this matters for the search for life on exoplanets.

Made possible by a grant from the NASA Astrobiology Institute to the Virtual Planet Laboratory.
