Real Change Homeless Empowerment Project says
Join us for Real Change’s 21st Anniversary Breakfast on Thursday, September 17th at the Washington State Convention Center, as we recognize the hard-working vendors, volunteers, and community supporters who make Real Change possible.

This event will bring together the Real Change community to celebrate our recent successes and talk about the road ahead. For the next leg of our journey, we’ve identified the key directions we need to follow in order to grow our effectiveness in providing opportunity to our vendors, strengthen vendor voices within the organization, take action for economic, social, and racial justice, and create long-term stability and growth.

Real Change is proud to welcome keynote speaker Alexes Harris, author of the forthcoming book, A Pound of Flesh: Monetary Sanctions as a Permanent Punishment for Poor People (Russell Sage 2016). Professor Harris teaches at the University of Washington and specializes in social stratification and inequality.

Real Change is working toward a critical destination: a just, caring and inclusive community, where people are no longer marginalized by racism and classism and have the means to live with dignity.

We need your help to get there. Please come along for the ride!

Attendance is free for everyone. There will be an opportunity to make a donation during the event. Please RSVP by Thursday, September 10, 2015.
