Michele Miller/Catapult Dance says
Come see Catapult's first independent performance, with Guest Artsit Stephanie Liapis Dance Projects. It is a night of full on physical dance, so be prepared to be moved!

Catapult Dance uses a hybrid of movement forms including contemporary dance, improvisation, martial arts and physical theater to develop work that challenges the audience’s perspectives on current social issues to incite change, while simultaneously lifting them up in appreciation of life’s gifts, through performances, classes, workshops and lecture demonstrations.

The company utilizes physical experimentation and practiced methods of falling, flying and inversions to create a sensual, kinetic, emotional landscape. The nine dancers in Catapult Dance push the physical boundaries of movement and technique through an intense rehearsal process that builds the trust and technical skill necessary to execute the physical material with effortless mastery.
