Robert & Clara Schumann

Time Out says
Clara Rottsolk, soprano
Liza Zurlinden, violin
Nathan Whittaker, cello
Byron Schenkman, piano
Robert and Clara Schumann are perhaps the most romantic couple in the history of music. When they finally married, Robert began an outpouring of extraordinary songs. As Robert's mental health deteriorated, Clara supported their family by championing his work. Her own Romances for violin and piano and Piano Trio in G Minor are perfect examples of early German Romanticism. Robert's Six Songs and a Requiem, op. 90, will feature rising star and Seattle native Clara Rottsolk.
