Stay after the show for the REAL/REEL Difference Award, an honor bestowed upon distinguished artists and community leaders who have dedicated their talents and resources to making a difference in the world.

This year, the SJFF REEL Difference Award will be presented to Emmy-nominated filmmaker Aviva Kempner, whose work investigates non-stereotypical images of Jews in history and celebrates the untold stories of Jewish heroes. Kempner is also the founder of the Washington DC Jewish Film Festival.

New this year, SJFF will present its first REAL Difference Award to Deborah Rosen, community activist and founding chair of the Seattle Jewish Film Festival. Rosen is an educator who for over 40 years has been dedicated to youth mentorship and helping young people achieve their dreams through education.
