Scared of Chaka
(Reunion Show!)

Scared Of Chaka was formed in 1993 in Albuquerque, NM. by vocalist/guitarist Dave Hernandez.
Bassist Dameon Waggoner and drummer Jeff Jones (Trumans Water) completed the three piece until Jones was replaced by Ron Skrasek in 1995.
The band played a Dickies inspired mix of garage and pop-punk, and were part of the active 90s Albuquerque indie scene that housed bands such as The Drags, The Rondelles, and Flake Music which later became The Shins, of which Hernandez was a founding member.

The band released 5 full lengths, a dozen singles, a few split 7"s and a B-Sides compilation for labels including 702 Records, Empty Records, Dirtnap Records and Hopeless Records. They toured Europe, Japan, and the states regularly. Following the 2001 release of Crossing with Switchblades the band dissolved.

Scared of Chaka has played few reunion shows since 2008, including FunFunFunFest in Austin, Music Fest NW in Portland, and shows in Chicago, Los Angeles, Reno Nevada and Madison Wisconsin. They're also part of the lineup for this years "D4th of July" fest in Minneapolis appearing alongside Dillinger Four, Against Me!, and Toys That Kill.

This Seattle show will mark the first performance anywhere of the classic Hernandez/Waggoner/Skrasek lineup since 2011, as well as their first performance in Seattle since they played at the Sunset Tavern in Ballard fourteen years ago.

Full Toilet

Don Sheets is an angry young man with a short attention span. He’s the singer in Full Toilet, and he doesn’t get along so well with anyone, including his bandmates. Volatile and erratic. Bad personal relations. Turbulence and anger. Channeling ultimate unhappiness. Bursts of rage. Full Toilet 13-song 7". Timeless torment spews forth.
