Museum of History and Industry (MOHAI) says
The Seattle Freeze (n.)
1. The chilly social reception one might get from a polite yet uninterested Seattleite
2. An exaggerated myth about Seattle's character

On the second Thursday of each month, MOHAI hosts Seattle AntiFreeze, a social gathering for people interested in exploring what—besides the Freeze—defines the character of this city. Each month features a different local topic, with guest presentations from some of Seattle's most fascinating individuals and organizations. Meet new people while learning more about the place you live, and together, let's thaw the Seattle Freeze!

January 14, 2016: Timber City Ginger Beer
Not all ginger beer is created equal. Meet Timber City Ginger Beer, LLC, a drink created with the entrepreneurial spirit of Seattle in mind and named in honor of those who worked hard to build the city. Discover the history of timber town while sampling some truly spicy ginger beer.

Cost: Free (Does not include admission to museum galleries)

Seattle AntiFreeze takes place next to the Compass Café—enjoy dinner or a drink while participating. The program is from 6 - 7 pm, and MOHAI's galleries are open until 8 pm.
