ABOUT THE SLAM --
SemiFinals are closed for sign up. Poets with the highest amount of points received in Open Slams compete in SemiFinals. There are THREE SemiFinals throughout the Slam Season. There are three rounds. There is still a three minute time limit per poem, with a ten second grace period. The first and second place winners of the semi final slam become competitors in the GRAND SLAM.
ABOUT THE FEATURE -- Devin Devine !!
Devin Devine is a writer, comedian, and performer from Spokane, Washington. Former host of Spokane's weekly poetry reading Broken Mic and a member Spokane's 2015 NPS Team, Devin loves poetry as much as loves dollar beer, which is almost as much as she loves Spokane. She laughs, drinks, and writes her way through issues of trauma, mental health, sexuality, and love. Author of two self-published chapbooks 'Feral Empathy' and 'Crying on the Toilet.' She is currently writing and self-publishing crime series 'Kiss the Messenger' with partner and co-author Tony Russell. She hopes one day to have an office with a corkboard, a library, and a permanent bottle of decent whiskey.
