The event creator says
SHRIEK: A Women of Horror Film & Discussion Class is a community education series that examines the roles of women in horror films. This time, discussion leader and film buff Evan J. Peterson, author will lead the group in a viewing and discussion of It Follows, written and directed by David Robert Mitchell! Click here for trailer:

**UPDATE! Babeland Seattle will be attending to give a short workshop on making safer sex and consent sexy, keeping with themes of the film!**

One of the most celebrated indie horror films of the new century, It Follows reinvents several standard horror tropes to create an imminently creepy and unnerving film experience. Inspired by nightmares, It Follows feels quite authentically like a bad dream, leaving viewers looking over our shoulders and watching our bedroom doorways at night.

The goal of this community series is to offer low-cost opportunities to learn about film and gender studies and to inspire more women to get involved as creators in the genre. Scarecrow Video sponsors the class in their screening room. This is an event for community members 17 and up. Scarecrow Video is wheelchair accessible.
**We suggest bringing an extra seat cushion for the classroom chairs.**
